Facility Guidelines and Procedures
In case of bad weather, an unforeseen problem, etc., Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church may determine that it is unsafe to carry out a scheduled event of a funeral. If the scheduled party insists on the event taking place, the party will be responsible for any and all costs of preparation (ex: snow removal for the parking lot, etc.), clean-up, manpower, and labor of possible outside companies needed and of WCUMC employees and personnel. The contracted party also assumes all responsibility of injury to anyone and everyone preparing, involved, and attending the event.
Due to Covid-19, we are not accepting any facility or reservation requests.
A note from our Senior Pastor
Here at Williamson’s Chapel we value the many partners that we have in ministry through out the Lake Norman region. It is a joy to support these numerous groups by sharing our facilities for various events when possible. In recent months, we’ve found the request for the use of our facilities increasing at the same time that our own ministries are increasing, and we are encountering issues with space. Honoring the various requests often has a financial impact on our church as we provide audio/tech resources or require additional custodial care and this creates unexpected and unintended demands upon our staff. There are also concerns about the numbers of people and/or tables in a given space and the arrangement of the rooms, which might pose a safety hazard.
With all that in mind, we have a very detailed request form for facility use. Please read carefully, include all the pertinent information, and be aware that there may be some pass-through costs involved depending upon your specific needs. We hope that this change in process will enable us to meet the needs of other groups when possible with minimal frustration for all. God bless you in your work and your ministry,
