Our Congregational Care Ministries equip many caring individuals to visit people in different circumstances and locations. Below are the visitation teams we currently have serving at WCUMC. We are always seeking to add to our volunteer ranks, if you'd like to be a part of any of these teams please contact Rev. Mark Pitts.
These loving volunteers support parents who have a new addition to their family, either by birth or through adoption, by providing cards, casseroles, and visits! Visits are made on an
"as needed" basis depending on when a child is born or adopted.
Those who visit our homebound members play a vital role in the church in keeping connection with homebound members. During these visits the team members will socialize and pray with the member as they share love and comfort. These visits are made at the volunteer's convenience and discretion.
Visiting our members at the local nursing homes is a great ministry and one that is both rewarding for the volunteer and the visit recipient. Visits are made at the volunteer's convenience and discretion.
A church the size of WCUMC depends on their strong group of congregational care volunteers to visit those who are hospitalized. This team is dedicated to caring for those in the hospital and ensuring that the presence of the church is felt regardless of how long they are hospitalized. Visits to the hospital are determined by individual need.
