What Lies Between Us | hosted by Williamson's Chapel UMC & Morrows Chapel UMC
a 5 week study on Sunday evenings beginning Sept. 9th
5:30 - 7:00 pm | Chapel (on the Williamson's Chapel campus)
We yearn for racial healing and positive change, but we sometimes don't know where to start. For many, race conversations are taboo and so they lack the consciousness and confidence to engage in healthy conversations that can lead to the positive change we seek. But, as Christ followers we believe that transformative anti-racism work begins in our hearts, homes and local communities, and is not reserved for legislation only. The church CAN provide a safe space to have these healthy conversations!
Williamson's Chapel UMC and Morrows Chapel UMC invite you to a five-week group study with special guests Dr. Lucretia and Nathan Berry. This study will walk through the guidebook What LIES Between Us: The First Steps Toward Racial Healing on Sunday evenings beginning September 9 from 5:30-7:00 pm in the chapel (Williamson's Chapel campus). Through this study, you will gain historical and social context for racial division, support for self-reflection, healing and growth, and have the opportunity to develop community with others who want to be a part of the dialogue and solution.
