Confirmation classes are open to all students in 7th and 8th grade. Our next classes will begin January 2018. Student are then invited to attend re:Vive immediately following class for dinner and games. The class will consist of 12 Sunday evening classes, two or three local trips to other churches, and a retreat near the end of the class.
In the United Methodist tradition, Confirmation is a program that allows youth (7th & 8th grade) the opportunity to learn about our Methodist heritage, our Christian faith, and church membership. It will also help youth understand why we believe what we believe, offer opportunities to ask tough questions about their faith, and be supported by caring Christian adults who mentor them through the process. The result of this class is the student's choice as to whether they desire membership in Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church. Those who choose membership will join the church on "Confirmation Sunday," which is a Sunday that is chosen each year to conclude the class. Most Confirmation classes also include several off-campus local trips, as well as a weekend retreat with other United Methodist youth who are also participating in Confirmation. If you have a high school student who would like to take confirmation, please contact Andrew at the email below.
