We will be traveling to Tennessee to help our neighbors in the Music City. We will be staying at McKendree UMC in downtown just a few blocks away from all the attractions. We will be sleeping on the floor and using the showers in their family life center. We will split our group into teams of 10, eight youth and two adults, and rotate through different projects during the week. We will be working with the homeless, those with special needs, children, and the elderly. These projects are meant for us to have personal interactions with those we serve and to develop relationships. During the evenings we will have worship together. This trip is limited to those who will be in high school. Cost: $150

We will be returning to First Presbyterian church in Wilmington to work with WARM (Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministries). The church is located just a few blocks from downtown. We will be sleeping on the floor and having worship each evening at their facility. During the day we will be spread out in the Wilmington area to do home repairs on those who are in need. Last year’s hurricane has increased the number of homes in the area that have fallen upon hard times. Projects can range from painting and yard clean up all the way to subfloor repair and roofing. We will spend an afternoon having some fun at the beach as well. This trip is open to any active youth who has completed 6th grade. Cost: $225
We are serious about being people of actions, not just words. We want our youth to use their gifts to change the world, whether that is physically or relationally. Our goal through our re:Act mission trips is to allow our youth the opportunity to love others in a variety of places and in a variety of ways. Over the past few years, our youth have traveled to Washington DC, Chicago, Wilmington, and Denver to share the love of Christ with others through physical work projects and relational programming.
We also serve our local community in powerful ways. Our goal is to make sure we are doing a project locally every month, whether we physically perform the task or collect items for donation. Previous projects have included The Mooresville Christian Mission, The Children's Homes of Iredell County, Habitat for Humanity, and The Mooresville Soup Kitchen.
