End Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery and is the second largest criminal industry in the world. According to the U.S. Department of State Trafficking in Persons Report 2010, the number of adults and children currently in forced labor, bonded labor and forced prostitution is 12.3 million, with estimates of up to 27 million. Estimating and measuring prevalence is difficult due to the covert nature of this crime.
WCUMC is working with local law enforcement and regional agencies to determine the greatest need in our area. From education and awareness to spiritual warfare we are dedicated to doing everything we can to ending this horrific crime.
Join us Sept. 23 as we join with over 7,000 churches across the globe to pray for this terrible injustice. All four services at Williamson's Chapel will have a special prayer emphasis and in addition to that you can stop by our booth in the courtyard to:
- Get involved in local efforts
- Commit to a 30 day prayer challenge. You will recieve a braclet and prayer guide!
