Foundational Committees
We invite you to consider how you can be a part of this foundation by leading Williamson's Chapel through one of our "foundational" committees:
- Finance Committee - oversees the financial health of the church
- Trustees Committee - oversees the physical property of the church
- Staff-Parish Relations Committee - cares for and nourishes the clergy/staff of the church and acts as a "human resources" team for our staff and clergy
- Stewardship Committee - seeks to secure the financial resources needed to support the mission and ministries of WCUMC and to educate and offer opportunities to the congregation to embrace generosity in all aspects of life.
Foundation
The "Foundation" of the church is the basic strength behind all that we do. The financial contributions of the members, the organizational leadership and committees that make the decisions, and the overall Christian leadership from pastors and lay members help the church accomplish its mission of changing lives and changing the world through Jesus Christ.
Please take a moment to look on the left hand side of this page and read through the four foundational committees of the United Methodist Church. These four committees are vital to the church, and, if you are a member of the church we invite you to consider serving in one of these areas.
If one of these opportunities calls to you, please contact Pastor Jan Brittain to see if there is an opening you can fill. And, as always, please keep these leadership groups and our staff and clergy in your prayers as we continue to work toward the mission of changing lives and changing the world through Jesus Christ.
