Come Serve!

Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. - 1 Peter 4:10

Williamson's Chapel remains ever committed to living Jesus' call to serve the world around us through our actions. We believe in the power of discipleship to enrich the lives of not only our congregation, but also the life of our entire community.

God's blessings and gifts are so diverse and so abundant! Because of that creativity by God, we believe the ways we serve should be varied and plentiful. Whether you're hoping to serve and spread God's love within the congregation, the community, or abroad, Williamson's Chapel wants to help you discern your gifts and provide ways for you to use those gifts for the glory of God.

If you'd like to learn how to get connected in serving, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Susan Taylor at volunteer@willchapumc.org

Spiritual Gifts and GPS | Gifts, Passions, & Skills

Identifying your Spiritual Gifts can be a great first step to choosing where to serve in ministry. Discovering and exercising your God-given Spiritual Gifts allows you to experience maximum fulfillment in your Christian life and ministry.  You might be surprised at your results and find new ways to become engaged! The United Methodist Church has a convenient online tool that can help you identify your spiritual gifts known as the Spiritual Gifts Assessment. Just follow these steps to identify your GPS.

To complete the Spiritual Gifts Assessment, click here. (This link will redirect you to a different website.)

  • At the end of the assessment, your Spiritual Gifts will be identified. Use the Spiritual Gifts Booklet (click on image) to learn more about each.

  • Write down your top 3 Spiritual Gifts. You will need to know them when completing the GPS.

Next, go to the GPS (Gifts, Passions, Skills) Survey located here

  • Completing the GPS does not obligate you to membership; however, it is necessary to complete it to become a member at Williamson's Chapel UMC.
  • The GPS will provide meaningful data for serving in ministry at Williamson's Chapel UMC.
