Worship at Williamson’s Chapel
The Lay Leadership of Williamson’s Chapel has been hard and work. The Worship Council, the 3 T (Covid Transition Team) and the Administrative Board have all been reflecting, praying and discussing how to most faithfully respond to the current Covid conditions. Nothing about this is easy. Using both our brains and our hearts has been a hallmark of Methodism from the beginning. We believe that wisdom is found when intelligence and faith come together. Wisdom is what our leaders --- lay, clergy and staff --- have been seeking in these difficult days.
Though it saddens us greatly, especially during this season of Advent and Christmas, we have decided that the most faithful and compassionate decision is to have no inside in person worship at this time. We will have outside worship experiences (Sundays at 10am and other seasonal offerings) and continue to offer the best online worship experiences possible. The Administrative Board will revisit this in January to determine next steps.
Please join us in our prayer--- May God be glorified and may God’s people be strengthened by all we do to worship, grow and serve. Amen
