A native of South Carolina, Dawn has spent most of her life serving the church through music. Her first organist position came when she was in the 6th grade at a small Presbyterian church in Spartanburg County. Following God’s call to music ministry at a very young age, Dawn continued to play organ and piano, accompany youth choir, direct a children’s choir, and teach private piano prior to attending college. She graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Church Music Ministry.
Dawn brings a wealth of experience to the music ministry of WCUMC. She has had the privilege of serving NC Baptist churches in both full-time and part-time music ministry for over 35 years. She also teaches private piano lessons in her home. Dawn is passionate about reaching all ages for Christ through music. Whether through vocal or instrumental choirs, preschool music experiences, children or youth choirs, at the piano, or at the organ console Dawn is committed to developing and nurturing lifelong attitudes and practices of worship.
Dawn and her husband, Bill, have been married 36 years. They take great delight in their four daughters and their families. And yes, grandchildren are God’s greatest and most special gift!  Both Dawn and Bill are looking forward to becoming a part of the Williamson’s Chapel family, and joining with this church community in ministry.
